Wee Play Adventure
Get ready for a wild adventure through the Komodo Islands at our indoor play haven, the Pilot Flying J Wee Play Adventure! Specifically crafted for preschool and elementary-aged kids, it’s the ultimate playground for young explorers. As you navigate through, get ready to meet Slim the Komodo Dragon, Dolly the 18-foot reticulated python, and a host of other fascinating reptiles. It’s a hands-on journey filled with fun and discovery!

The Clayton
Safari Splash
Get ready for a wild time at the Clayton Safari Splash, a safari-themed water play area in Grasslands Africa (included in general admission)! Our splash pad offers play zones designed for all ages. From life-sized giraffes that sprinkle water to water hoops and loops, and team sprays that send water soaring, there’s no shortage of refreshing fun. It’s the perfect spot to cool off and make a splash!

*Zoo Knoxville’s water play areas follow all Knox County Health Department guidelines for public pools and splashpads and are regularly tested by the Health Department. Zoo Knoxville also tests all areas multiple times daily to ensure water quality standards are being met. Per the Knox County Health Department, any persons with diarrhea may not enter the water and non-toilet trained persons must wear a swim diaper while in the area.

Kids Cove
Welcome to Kids Cove, where the fun never ends and adventure awaits around every corner! Inspired by a 19th-century Appalachian farm, this magical area is bursting with playful animals and exciting, hands-on experiences. Hang out with our friendly goats and sheep in the barnyard, or let your imagination run wild in the Clayton Cabin and sandbox. And when the sun is shining, don’t miss the chance to splash around in the wading stream (open seasonally) and join us at the Night Club to catch a glimpse of nocturnal creatures coming to life!
