SCIENCE PUPS
Bring your little scientist to the zoo to explore science through games, activities, crafts and up-close animal encounters. You’ll participate with your child as we inspire curiosity and create connections with animals and science. Parents can choose either a Tuesday or Wednesday weekly class to bring their 4-5 year old. One parent or guardian must attend. Older, younger and non-registered siblings may not attend due to space limits of the room.
An annual pass or Circle of Friends membership is not required to register, however, both the student(s) and whoever brings the student(s) to class must either pay admission or have an annual pass or Circle of Friends membership in order to get to the classroom.
HOMESCHOOL SCIENCE ACADEMY
Zoo Knoxville Homeschool Academy’s semester long weekly classes and monthly classes are an impactful way to supplement your K-8th grade science curriculum. From hands-on activities to up-close animal encounters, students learn how to apply science concepts to the plants and animals found at Zoo Knoxville.
An annual pass or Circle of Friends membership is not required to register, however both the student(s) and whoever brings the student(s) to class must either pay admission or have an annual pass or Circle of Friends membership in order to get to the classroom.
Weekly Classes
Keep your student engaged with a regular dose of science fun and discovery. Weekly science classes are offered on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for Kindergarten – 8th grade. Parents and siblings of K-8th grade students are asked to explore the zoo during class time. Limited observation times may be arranged with advanced notice.
Monthly Classes
Supplement your curriculum with monthly science classes on Thursdays for Kindergarten – 12th grade. Parents and siblings of K-8th grade students are asked to explore the zoo during class time. Limited observation times may be arranged with advanced notice.

Cancellation/Refund Policy
Transfer fee from one weekly class to another: $10. Cancellations: More than 28 days before start of semester: 2/3 refund. 28-15 days: 1/3 refund. 14 days or less: no refund. Zoo Knoxville reserves the right to enact health and safety measures at any time to safeguard the wellbeing of our guests, staff and animals in our care. Cancellations due to choosing not to follow Zoo Knoxville’s health and safety policies will not result in a refund except as stated in the refund policy of the specific program.
