Black Bear Falls

Swimming, climbing, and foraging are just a few of the favorite activities of our North American black bears! You might even catch them in a round of playful wrestling. Fun fact: black bears are fantastic swimmers and can climb trees with ease! After all that fun, they often need a nap, so don’t forget to peek through the portholes into their cozy dens. Even though they slow down a bit in winter, Zoo Knoxville’s bears stay active and adventurous all year round.
