Official Rules
Promotion Period
The promotion begins Tuesday, August 4, 2026, and ends Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
Eligibility
Open to legal residents of the United States who are 18 years of age or older.
Employees, board members, immediate family members of Zoo Knoxville, and anyone involved in administering this promotion are not eligible to win.
How to Enter
Donation Entry
Receive entries based on your donation amount:
- $25 donation: One (1) entry
- $40 donation: Two (2) entries
- $60 donation: Three (3) entries
Maximum of three (3) entries per person.
Free Alternate Method of Entry
No donation or purchase is necessary to enter or win.
To enter without making a donation, send an email to [email protected] with the subject line “Red Panda Naming Entry.”
Include your full name, mailing address, phone number, and email address.
Emails must be received between Tuesday, August 4, 2026, and Friday, August 14, 2026, at 11:59 PM Eastern Time.
Limit one (1) free entry per eligible person.
Winner Selection
Two (2) winners will be selected by random drawing after the promotion closes.
Odds of winning depend on the total number of eligible entries received.
Winners will be notified using the contact information provided during entry. If a selected winner cannot be contacted, is determined to be ineligible, or does not respond within seven (7) days, Zoo Knoxville may select an alternate winner.
Prize
Each winner will receive:
- An exclusive behind-the-scenes red panda experience with Zoo Knoxville’s animal care team, either in person or virtually.
- The opportunity to submit up to three (3) name suggestions for one of Zoo Knoxville’s red panda cubs.
Submission of a name does not guarantee it will be selected.
All proposed names are subject to Zoo Knoxville approval and must align with Zoo Knoxville’s naming guidelines, animal care standards, and any applicable Species Survival Plan recommendations.
The behind-the-scenes experience will be scheduled on a mutually agreed upon date and is subject to animal welfare needs, weather, operational requirements, and staff availability.
Zoo Knoxville reserves the right to postpone, reschedule, modify, or cancel the experience if necessary for the health and well-being of the animals or guests.
Participants must comply with all Zoo Knoxville safety policies and staff instructions.
Prize Restrictions
The prize is non-transferable, has no cash value, and may not be redeemed for cash, exchanged, or substituted.
Donations
All donations are final and non-refundable.
Donations support Zoo Knoxville’s mission of conservation, education, and exceptional animal care.
Publicity
By participating, entrants grant Zoo Knoxville permission to use their name, likeness, submitted name suggestions, and photographs or video captured during the behind-the-scenes experience for promotional, marketing, fundraising, and educational purposes without additional compensation, unless prohibited by law.
General Conditions
Zoo Knoxville reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel this promotion if circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including animal health, severe weather, public safety concerns, or operational needs, make such action necessary.
Participation in this promotion constitutes acceptance of these Official Rules.
