North American River Otter

Located in the center of the plaza, Clayton Otter Creek allows an up-close experience for guests. Watch Clayton, Pascal and Reed as they swim and hunt. Lively and mischievous, each of these boys have their own fun behaviors, from watching people, to swimming while carefully balancing a rock on their nose.

North America

Found throughout North America with the exception of deserts and treeless tundra, the North American River Otter surprisingly enjoys both fresh and salt water. More active at dawn and dusk during warm weather, this species becomes diurnal during the colder winter months, making them a perfect stop on a chilly day.
