Public Youth Ages 8 – 14

NATURE EXPLORERS and JUNIOR NATURALISTS

Wild about animals?  Experience the zoo in a new way while exploring wildlife and conservation through up close animal interaction, participation in scientific research and zoo exploration from an animal caregiver’s perspective.

  • Ages 8 to 14: children may attend with or without an adult.
  • April through October
  • Advance registration required
  • Passholders and Circle of Friends members: $7 child, $3 adult.
  • Non-passholders: $15 child; $15 adult (includes admission to the zoo, which is required to attend the program or to drop off and pick up your child)
  • Length: 2 hours

Scouts and other Youth-Oriented Groups

PRIVATE PROGRAMS

Great for Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, American Heritage Girls and other youth-oriented groups, private programs are available for all groups interested in unique experiences while learning about wildlife and wildlife conservation.  We can help you meet your badge or patch requirements for Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and American Heritage Girls. Groups of 5 or more youth participants can schedule their own private workshops with special topics and dates.

  • Advance registration required
  • Ages Kindergarten and up.
  • Year-round
  • $15 per person
  • 1-1/2 to 2 hours

NIGHT SAFARIS

Take in the sights and sounds after the sun goes down, and learn about our residents nocturnal activities. Night safaris are a great activity for scout groups!
