YOUTH PROGRAMS

Wild about wildlife?  A variety of programs are available for youth to connect with wildlife and other wildlife enthusiasts.

NATURE EXPLORERS and JUNIOR NATURALISTS

Learn about the natural world through engaging hands on activities, interactions with live animals, and exploration of Knoxville’s premiere zoological facility.

  • Most programs meet requirements for Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and/or American Heritage Girls.
  • Advance registration required
  • Ages 8 to 14
  • March through October
  • $7 children, $3 adults for annual passholders/Circle of Friends members.
  • $15 children and adults (includes admission to the zoo) for non-passholders.
  • Length: 1-1/2 to 2 hours

PRIVATE PROGRAMS

Private youth programs are available for all groups.  We can also help you meet your badge or patch requirements for Girl Scouts, Cub Scouts, Boy Scouts and American Heritage Girls. Groups of 5 or more youth participants can schedule their own private workshops with special topics and dates.

  • Advance registration required
  • Ages Kindergarten and up.
  • Year-round
  • $15 per person
  • 1-1/2 to 2 hours

SERVICE PROJECTS

NIGHT SAFARIS

Take in the sights and sounds after the sun goes down, and learn about our residents nocturnal activities. Night safaris are a great activity for scout groups!
