Is your scout group looking for something different? Zoo Knoxville offers a variety of options to help you work towards badge and patch goals, or to just have a wildly fun time!
This is your chance to have a private adventure for your group at Zoo Knoxville! Great for Girl Scouts, Boy Scouts, American Heritage Girls and other groups interested in unique experiences while learning about wildlife and wildlife conservation.
Groups of 5 or more youth participants can schedule their own private workshops with special topics and dates.
For smaller scout groups or individual scouts we offer the environmental science workshop for Boy Scouts aged 12-17 years old. This workshop meets most requirements for the BSA Environmental Science badge. Spend the day digging deeper into the science and structures of planet Earth. Perform experiments, meet keepers, and find out what it takes to really understand the planet we call home.
Looking for something a little bit wilder?
Explore the zoo as the sun sets and everyone else heads home for the day. An experienced night owl will take you on a personal adventure through the zoo to see some of your favorite animals as night approaches.
What if two hours just isn’t enough?
With the Bedtime with the Beasts program, your group doesn’t only see the zoo, you get to spend the night up close and personal with our residents.
We can tailor your experience to meet a variety of merit badges and patches (or just for fun), all while adding more time for adventure and exploration at the zoo.
