Preschool and Homeschool Programs
Zoo Knoxville is following CDC guidelines for daycares and following the guidance of Knox County Health Department. These measures include increased hand washing/sanitizing throughout the day and increased cleaning and disinfecting of frequently touched surfaces. Classrooms will be disinfected daily and classes will be kept separate from each other. All staff and students will be screened for symptoms of COVID-19 each day before being allowed to attend class. Parents and all children attending the 6th-8th grade class are required to wear a mask inside all buildings. Children attending preschool – 5th grade classes are not required to wear a mask but can if they are comfortable putting it on and taking it off properly by themselves.
Bring your little scientist to the zoo to explore science through games, activities, crafts and up-close animal encounters. You’ll participate with your child as we inspire curiosity and create connections with animals and science. Weekly classes are offered on Tuesdays and Fridays for ages 4-5. One parent or guardian must attend. The Friday preschool class has filled. One space has become available in the Tuesday class.
An annual pass or Circle of Friends membership is required to register. Both the student(s) and whoever brings the student(s) to class must either pay admission or have an annual pass or Circle of Friends membership.
